ALPHABETICS is a 4 piece Costa Rican band formed in 2011. The combination of dance music, Latin culture, alternative trends and punk rock energy builds the foundation of their style and music.
Joined by longtime friendship they have endured the constant changes of music with their loyalty to their own sound of catchy melodies, up tempo dance beats and explosive performances on any stage they stand on, making them a one of a kind type of act.
They released their debut 5 track EP “Self Destructive” in 2012. This album featured standout hits which have been popular on radio stations, commercials, TV, and crowd favorites at their shows. The EP achieved music awards for (Best Rock Album, Best EP, Best Video, to name a few) with different entities in Costa Rica like ACAM, nationwide newspapers, blogs, and media.
Not leaving aside the international approach, ALPHABETICS has received good review and acceptance in many different countries. Airtime on MTV Latin America, coverage and reviews from press in Colombia, Argentina, Honduras, Mexico and USA. Accomplished 2 US tours through Dallas, Austin, Los Angeles & San Francisco with honorable mention from sources like Wall Street Journal, Time Out (L.A.), The Daily Californian, KQED, and more.
July 6th 2015 is the release of the awaited first LP titled “Animal Planets”. The album contains 10 tracks accompanied by an artistic concept which binds the four members into one single being, symbolizing the personalities of each one of them into one final hybrid. The first single release was “Paint Paint Paint” which brought new buzz with their fans and reached #1 with “104.7 Hit” HIT PARADE, which ranks the radio station’s most solicited songs from the globe at the time. Definitely a nice first achievement for ALPHABETICS who will keep working hard to promote and spread their music around the globe.
